I'm passionate about volleyball, growth, and self care combined with a deep drive to help people. I have always been fascinated with the human condition and am deeply curious about the beautifully imperfect beings we are.
Being a student athlete sparked my interest in movement and body connection. I have always loved the feeling of being in my body when performing. There were many mentors to help me along the way. Looking back, I can also see where there were gaps in support. Training is more than just the body. Evaluating my own life experiences has inspired me do more for others.
As a volleyball coach, I have been lucky to work and connect with so many talented players. Collaborating with them on personal and team goals while finding creative ways to teach and strengthen skills and knowledge are fundamentals of my coaching style.
Working with me you'll receive lots of positive reinforcement, grace in mistakes when effort has been applied, positive thinking and self talk guidance, humor, and enthusiasm. All of this while keeping you accountable for your goals.
Through a process of body connection (using training and stretching techniques) and mindset coaching, my goal is to help you find the fitness lifestyle and tools suited for you to build stability and overall wellbeing.
I love being active but dislike working out.
Yep. I'm a trainer who doesn't care to work out.
How is "being active" different from a "work out"?
The answer is:
Mindset in the moment.
Working out feels like an agenda forced on my body and not so much fun. When I'm active I am in the moment and in my body ENJOYING the experience. This is the space where our mind and body connect, working together to create overall wellbeing.
I know the negative self talk cycle.
One tiny thought starts a trickle, which can turn into a tsunami. Thoughts become beliefs, beliefs become behaviors, and behaviors become personality. Then we feel stuck and unable to pursue or act on our desires.
The cycle can be stopped.
Fact is, the single most important practice to improving your daily wellness is not diet, gratitude, meditation, or socialization.
It's simply being kinder to yourself.
We will use mindset tools combined with movement to build better self talk habits.
